Got any ideas?
I seriously find myself simply shutting down when I become overwhelmed with tasks (school in this case, duh). I procrastinate like it’s my job, but I just don’t feel like these assignments matter.
I think I’m no longer apathetic towards school, I just despise so much the fact that we’re told we’ll be immense failures if we don’t do well in terms of grades. A friend of my brother’s once said, “School is about education, not marks,” but how am I supposed to prove that I am educated without the solidity of a grade?
Maybe that’s where some of my fear of doing nothing with my life after I’m finished entirely with school stems from—how we’re told we’ll amount to nothing if we don’t get an amazing education with glorious grades to prove ourselves worthy of whatever it is we’re meant to go after.
